These precious bamboo and wooden slips boast important academic value and artistic value. They are the first-hand materials for studying the evolution of Chinese character calligraphy and the development of calligraphy art, and provide us with important and rich historical materials for the existing calligraphy theory research and calligraphy creation practice. This exhibition of bamboo slip and silk penmanship will promote the exchange and expansion of research and creation of bamboo slip and silk penmanship, and further inherit and advance the art of bamboo slip and silk penmanship in China.” said Zhu Jianjun, Curator of Gansu Bamboo and Wooden Slips Museum.
